THE SWINGETTES are a four-part harmony a cappella group.

The line up consists of Paula Dennis (lead), Linda Mackintosh (bass), Wendy Murray (baritone) and Linda Carson (tenor). In their early days as a barbershop quartet, they won the 1995 Sweet Adelines UK Barbershop Championship. This allowed them to compete in the international competition in New Orleans singing to 10,000 in the Louisiana Superdome (their largest audience to date!).

THE SWINGETTES have now diversified in style and harmonise anything from the swing rhythms of the Andrews Sisters through 50's doo-wop to pop classics from Abba, Cher, The Weather Girls and Adele. Dressed to thrill in sequins and diamante, The Swingettes add sparkle and glamour to any occasion and their varied repertoire appeals to all musical tastes.
Popular as after dinner entertainment or as a cabaret act, The Swingettes have performed at corporate events, private parties, weddings and Barmitzvas.
They have appeared in cabaret at the Queens Hall, the Usher Hall Edinburgh and in the famous Spiegel Tent. In 2014 they were honoured to share the Festival Theatre stage with Todd Gordon and his trio as part of the Edinburgh Jazz festival.

In 2013 they hosted their sell-out show "A Singing, Swinging Christmas" at the Netherbow Theatre, Edinburgh which was held in aid of Maggie's Centre. The following year they hosted "Another Swinging Christmas" in aid of Parkinsons UK Scotland at the same venue.
